This post is just about listing the top players in the world in each position. The meaning of position is quite vague in this context since players are listed based on the 4 most broad classifications, which are goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. Note that I used "forwards" and not strikers. The reason for this is that nowadays many players occupy several positions and some attacking players often appear to occupy striking positions even though they were originally occupying positions such as the wing or attacking midfielder. If the positions are broken down, one can come up with over 15 different lists. But let's keep it vague for now. Here it goes:
